Superman, Joe Brooks

Joe Brooks is a singer, songwriter hailing from Southampton England. Joe is an acoustic guitar master with the voice of an angel. At age 22 Joe has accomplished a lot. He is signed to Lava Records in the UK and in America his “publisher” is Cherry Lane. He taught himself to play guitar at age 16 and hasn’t put it down ever since. He writes and records all of his own music, which is a big deal for such a young musician. Many musicians don’t know how to record music, or if they do they don’t know how to do it well. Since he started on MySpace in 2006 he’s been a top musician on the top artists on the UK charts. Joe has been living between the UK and US for the past 4 years, playing shows in numerous places in America and the UK. His MySpace features many songs including the hit “Superman” which is featured in this post. And my personal favorite is “Apples” which is an amazing slow jam. He has recently announced a few shows in America and the UK. On April 29th he is playing at the Mint in LA. He also has announced that he’ll be playing Day 1 of the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey. After that on May 4th he has a show in NYC at Webster Hall. In the UK he’ll be playing the Oceanfest on June 19th and Soul Survivor Festival on August 11th.
