Mayday Parade's video for "Kids in Love"

The buzz around twitter and tumblr these days is surrounding the music video that the well loved Mayday Parade put out a couple of days ago. The video contains explicit scenes including nudity and some shocking sexual acts. There are many different reactions to the video but you should really watch for yourself to make your judgement. (unless you don’t want to see the explicit scenes). Mayday Parade took a bold move in creating this controversial video to this cute love song. The lyrics in the song shoot out a similar message as the video: ”Young Love Is Dumb Love” or “And we were just kids in love. The summer was full of mistakes we wouldn’t learn from” . 

Instead of making another sweet and appealing music video to an adorable love song, they decided to show their fans another perspective of their song. Mayday Parade took a leap of faith in a video they believed to be a great portrayal of their lyrics. It’s an honest and passionate video that sends out a powerful message of the dangers, joys,adventures and excitement of being young, and in love. Mayday Parade wanted to create a video that would create shock and make you think, and they definitely did just that. Check it out if you haven’t already!
