Forever
Amber Pacific

Song- Forever

With the band getting a new lead singer back in 2008, people were skeptical about listening to the ‘new’ Amber Pacific. Releasing three early tracks in late 2009 and early 2010 the band was going for gold. Signing to Victory Records in 2009, it felt like this train of luck would never stop ending for Amber Pacific.

Waiting for almost three years for Virtues, Amber Pacific has the same feel like before. Though with not-so-new comer, Jesse Cottam, his voice has something unique about it. With the lyrics flowing as a raspy aspect takes effect, the whole album intrigues the listeners on what is going to happen next. Not only does his voice pull you in, the hardcore drum beats mixed with the guitar riffs are also a bonus with this album.

Starting with, An Anthem for The Young At Heart, a high energetic pop punk song talking about young love lasting forever, Virtues, catches the attention of listeners quickly. Going along side with Anthem, The Girl Who Destroys, and Three Words, the upbeat songs strum along; while the album takes a turn for a slower melody during Shine, shows another side of the band. What Matters Most, Conviction, The Good Life, The Best Mistake, and We Can’t Fake This, all revolve around the same type of genre. Showing some of the same music Amber Pacific has done in the old days. Ending with the heart felt pieces entitled Burdens Of The Past, and Forever, slow songs and a change in pace which puts the album together.

The words spoken through this album are teenager related much like other albums out there. But what makes Amber Pacific stand out is the rock edge this album holds and much more. In late May AP are going on a mini-tour, but don’t worry they are also going to be having more tours throughout the summer!
