Thinking Bout' Somethin'

Hanson has been together as a band for 18 years and has been known throughout American households because of their hit MMMbop released back in 1997. On the contrary to their reputation from that song, they are a very talented pop group. Their fifth studio album, Shout It Out came out this past Tuesday and has many catchy songs on it. From being in the business for a long time, they seem to understand their strengths and weaknesses very well. If you actually listen to the album from beginning to end you will find yourself surprised at how great it is. Most of this cd has a very cheery feeling to it, especially the songs “Carry You There” and “Waiting For This”. “And I Waited” is one of my favorite tracks on the record because of its up-tempo drumbeat and guitar riffs. The first single of the cd, “Thinking Bout’ Somethin’”, posted above, also has a very great tempo and sums up the excitement throughout this album. This album goes to show how much a band can grow from being together for such a long time. It’s a shame that they are only known for their one #1 hit written and released while they were still young.
