Miley Cyrus has come a long way since she got her start on the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, back in 2006. After filming four seasons of her hit TV show, she has been trying to spread her wings and breakaway from the Disney label.

Her new CD, Can’t Be Tamed was released last Monday and is said to be her final album for a while. If you don’t take this album too seriously, it is very enjoyable. Most of the songs are upbeat and fun to listen to but at the same time, very generic sounding. From listening to the tracks “Robot” (posted above) and “Can’t Be Tamed”, you can see her unhappiness of being caged into the Disney image she started out with. Miley sings about not wanting to be “a part of this big machine”, but ultimately the music on this CD doesn’t really agree with this message. The overall sound she gives off from it is similar to other artists on the radio. Otherwise the songs are all catchy and this CD is a great listen!
