Fight Fair are “Livin’ For the Summer”
Every summer I find myself looking for an album to be the one thing I listen to all summer and not to sound cliché but Fight Fair’s new release California Kicks may just be the soundtrack of my summer. It contains all the things you could want in a summer sound: great lyrics, sweet hooks, clapping solos, and a generally happy demeanor. And unlike a lot of the poppier bands in today’s scene the album is completely cohesive and doesn’t have a downer on it. They also use a lot of gang vocals which can often come off as annoying and junky, but in Fight Fair’s case they come off as a group of people just wanting to have fun. Now I’m not saying they’re going to be the next Green Day or anything but their songs make me want to and run around in the sun and hang out with my friends without a care in the world. So if you want something to listen to on the beach, driving around or on the way to this year’s Warped Tour pickup California Kicks. And if you like to go from track to track by an artist the three best tracks in my opinion are: “Livin’ For the Summer”, “Party Girl”, “Diner Date”, and “Backseat Bingo”. You can also check them out on Warped tour, they are on the whole tour.
