Jimmy Stadt (by Sara)
November 18th 2010 the AP Tour made it’s mark on Philadelphia. This AP Tour was different from all others, as it was ruled by screamo bands. From full out screamo, to pop-punkesque music with screaming throughout. AP is really broadening it’s horizons. Opening the show was New York natives, Polar Bear Club. Fronted by the spunky Jimmy Stadt the band made their mark on Philadelphia. Their set was full energy and one of my favorites of the whole show. Stadt’s energy was enough to make their set one of the most memorable of the night. You could tell the whole band was having fun playing. Their catchy and more upbeat tunes were a nice break from the heaviness to come throughout the night. Stadt is one of the most exciting vocalists I’ve been able to shoot in awhile. He was constantly moving and feeling the beat of the music. You could tell he loves what he was doing. For those of you who haven’t heard of Polar Bear Club before, I advise you to check them out the next time they’re in your area. Even if you’re not a fan of screamo, their set is just so energetic that you will enjoy seeing them. The AP tour isn’t over until December 10th, so if it’s in your town soon, get a ticket and check it out!
