Fans got in line for The Wanted’s NYC concert debut starting at 3AM on the day of their show. Eager for the band to take stage, chants of “Wanted” rang throughout the sold out Irving Plaza from the second their fans entered the room. The moment the Wanted took the stage at Irving Plaza with their song Behind Bars, the crowd was going crazy. Fans young and old were clapping their hands and singing along to songs from their first and second albums. The crowd of American fans had been waiting forever to finally see this band perform and it did not seem like they were let down. Although they’re classified as a boy band, they proved their musical talents by playing the instruments to a cover of Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. The atmosphere of this concert and the band’s stage presence, as well as their catchy songs made me want to become a fan. The Wanted will be performing in six more American cities before launching their 2012 United Kingdom Arena Tour, you won’t be sorry to check them out!

Mike Hranica, The Devil Wears Prada
On Tuesday December 13th I got to shoot the Dead Throne Tour. The line up was For Today, Enter Shikari, White Chapel and of course The Devil Wears Prada. The Devil Wears Prada are one of my favorite bands to shoot as they have so much energy. You can just tell how much each member of the band really loves what they’re doing. The band came on stage with strobe lights going off like crazy and fans going wild. The girls behind the barricade had been complaining all show about how badly they wanted TDWP to get onstage. Once TDWP took the stage the girls at the barricade went wild. The band’s energy took over everyone, even the fellow photographers in the pit were nodding their heads along with the beat. I watched the set halfway through and the crowd was going nuts. The response to their performance was amazing. If you like metal music of anytime you should definitely go check out The Devil Wears Prada next time they’re in town. They’re high energy and have enough break downs to keep you dancing, or moshing, all night through.

On Tuesday November 29th, Forever The Sickest Kids took the stage in NYC to a sold out crowd at Best Buy Theatre. While they weren’t the headliners, the crowd was going wild for them. Singer Jonathon Cook appeared on the stage in a full out skeleton body suit, covering his whole body. The band has so much energy while performing that it’s nearly impossible for an audience member to not be captivated. The set was filled with new, old and brand new songs. It was a great group of songs for all kinds of fans of the band, or even just music lovers. While their tour with Simple Plan is over, they’ll be heading out to Australia come late February. Every kind of music lover out there needs to get themself to see a FTSK show at some point. They won’t be sorry that they did.

John Taylor (by Sara Feigin)
Ocean Grove may be a new name to you, but these guys have been a band longer than they’ve actually been a band. Starting out as the Jonas Brothers’ backing band, Ocean Grove are seasoned stage veterans. On November 10th I got the chance to go check out their set in NYC at Webster Studio. Singer John Taylor has an amazing voice, and the band has a country-rock-pop kind of vibe. It was new and different and kept me engaged throughout the set. They are their own genre, and I can promise you they are going place. Be sure to check them out next time they come to your town, I promise seeing them is money well spent.

If you’re into pop-punk music, then Super Prime is the band for you. Even if you’re not into pop-punk music you’ll most likely dig Super Prime. While watching their set at their show in early October, opening for Marky Ramone, I spent the night trying to figure out who lead singer, Adam, sounded more like, Patrick Stump or Tom Delonge. Weird mix of people right? Wrong, it sounded amazing. His voice was the perfect mix of Stump-esque and Delonge-esque sound. Super Prime are a fun band to watch. Bassist, Austin, has so much fun on stage, and you can tell that drummer, Marcus, just loves playing live shows. Once again I was blown away by a band represented by Big Picture Media. If Super Prime comes through your city be sure to check them out!

Joe McFaddin (by Sara Feigin)
If a band called This Love is ever listed to be part of a tour package coming to your town, get yourself down to the venue. I had done some research on the band before heading out to the venue, and I thought they were really good. Once I saw them play I was blown away. Two songs into their set and I never wanted this moment to end. Just their sound and their energy were something I hadn’t seen at all lately, other than when I’d go to rock concerts with my parents. This Love wants to be known as a rock band, and that’s exactly what they are.
Go see them live, your life will be forever changed, for the better.

Long Island Warped Tour was on July 23rd. This years Warped line-ups was one of the most diverse ones I have attended. From bands like The Devil Wears Prada to 3OH!3 to The Ready Set, if you like music, you were bound to find a band catering towards your taste at this summer’s Warped Tour. L.I.F.E. Press got the opportunity to shoot the Uniondale date of the tour. Check out the photos I got of the following bands: Phone Calls From Home, The Narrative, Of Mice and Men, The Ready Set, Asking Alexandria, Enter Shikari, Gym Class Heroes, We Came As Romans, 3OH!3 and The Devil Wears Prada.

Kyle Patrick, The Click FivePhiladelphia, PA5/25/11 (by Sara Feigin)
Many people probably remember The Click Five for their song “Just The Girl” that came out “way back when.” But while you may think of them as a one hit wonder, they certainly are not. They put on an amazing show, and their not so new lead singer Kyle Patrick has a voice that makes you think of crooners such as Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. The Click Five have great stage presence, and almost every single one of their songs will get you dancing. Kyle gets the crowd going through out their set, and is just very great with on stage crowd interaction. The next time you hear The Click Five is in town, I would definitely advise buying a ticket and never looking back, because once you see them live you fall in love.
